Jeremy Kendall - Chairman
Jeremy Kendall has served as Chairman of the Company since December 1985. Past Directorships include; Chairman of the Board of SunOpta, a manufacturer and distributor of organic foods and other products. Director and Chairman of Opta Minerals, a manufacturer of industrial minerals, Director and Chairman of Easton Minerals Ltd., a mineral exploration company, and Director of Asia Biochem Inc., Director and Chairman BI Inc., producer of electronic home incarceration products; Director of Brigdon Resources Inc., an oil and gas exploration company. Mr. Kendall is also a Director of a number of private and charitable organizations.
Eric Caton - Chief Executive Officer
Eric Caton, President & CEO of the Company, has served as a Director since February 1991. He joined Jemtec in 1987 as Vice President Sales, then as General Manager and now President and CEO. He led Jemtec’s successful Public Private Partnership (P3) with the government of Ontario, the first such partnership in Canada. He has designed and started Electronic Monitoring Home Incarceration Programs across Canada (starting in 1987) with British Columbia, Ontario, Newfoundland, Saskatchewan, the Yukon Territories, Nova Scotia and Manitoba. Prior thereto, Mr. Caton marketed hardware and service products for Control Data Canada from 1972 through 1987.
Leslie N. Markow - Corporate Secretary, Audit Committee Chair
Leslie Markow is a Canadian CA, CPA and a US CPA (Illinois) and Chartered Director. Currently, she is an independent consultant and formerly was the CFO of public companies in Canada and the US. She is a member of Financial Executives Canada and formerly won the Toronto FEI Volunteer Leadership Award and is a volunteer faculty at McMaster University’s Directors College.
Gordon Baker - Board Member, Audit Committee
Gordon Baker was elected a Director of the Company in January 1994. He is a lawyer and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1983. Mr. Baker has extensive experience in the area of business and tax law with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing and structuring. He is a former Chairman, Tax Subsection, of the Ontario Branch of the Canadian Bar Association; a former Member of Canadian Bar Association, Ontario, Committee on Taxation; a past Committee Member of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants and Canadian Bar Association, Ontario; Committee on Taxation. Mr. Baker also serves on a number of corporate boards and a number of boards or committees of political and social organizations.
